Noted as a modern day superfood, Quinoa rice has gained a worldwide reputation as a healthier substitute for white rice. It has a higher protein to carbohydrates ratio compared to other grains. Quinoa is also high in soluble fiber that helps reduce cholesterol levels and promotes heart health.

  • Rinse with water and soak in cold water for 2-3 minutes. Drain and transfer to a cooking pot. Add 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of dry quinoa rice. Bring the water to a boil in the cooking pot. Cover the pan and simmer on medium-low heat. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes. The grain is cooked when it’s translucent and tender.
